A chiasm is a literary structure where the words of the first section of a passage are repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Matthew 25:14-30, the center and climax is that in the parable the master was gone for a long time before he returned to settle acconts with his slaves (Matt 25:19).
