The Chiasm of Matthew 22:41-46
A chiasm is a literary structure where the words of the first section of a passage are repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Matthew 22:41-46, the climax is a question Jesus asked the Pharisees about whose son the Messiah was. It stumped the Pharisees and so they stopped asking him questions
