A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Acts 2:40-47 the center and climax is the description of the earl church: “Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles” (Acts 2:40-47).
