The Chiasm of Matthew 23:29-35
A chiasm is a literary structure where the words of the first section of a passage are repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Matthew the climax is Jesus question to the scribes and Pharisees, “You brood of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of hell?” (Matt 23:33). 23:29-35,
